Default I am a man of constant sorrow

Thanks to the great Carb removal How-To I was able to get some work done on my bike today

Of course, that elation was short-lived...

I opened up the jet kit that I ordered a month ago (it seems, probably 1 month) and behold! The jets aren't even close to being the ones for my bike. LOL

Well I guess it's a quick stop back by whatever online place has a jetkit for a 2007 KLX in stock...of course, even with overnight shipping it'll be at least Monday before it arrives so double-damnit!

GRRR...

Anyone know a place that has a decent sale currently?

I'd send it back, get my cash and just use the stock klx parts...it's way cheaper and it's only a 250

Well at the risk of sounding like the world's biggest tool, I discovered why the jets looked nothing like the ones for my bike.

I grabbed the Dynojet kit for my Yamaha Virago

(If you tell anyone about this, I'll say you lied)

Anyway, got the correct kit and brought the carburetor to work with me today so I could do the slide mod and install the jets. It went smoothly and I reinstalled everything this evening.

The bike starts in 31°F weather WAY easier than it did in 55°F weather and warms up nicely. Throttle response is UNGODLY better as well!

I buttoned her up and she's ready to ride tomorrow if I decide not to watch bowl games all day...

I'll get some pics of the bike (probably tomorrow) and post them. Keep in mind I am not done buying all the stuff for it I want.

I still need:

Rack from Turbocity & Tail bag ($160-ish +s/h)
Aux. gas tank($100-ish +s/h)
I still need to get the skidplate ($90-ish)
New tires ($130-ish)
