Default I actually have a question!!!

Ok I'm heading down to Oregon to the high desert country July 6-10 and I just realized that we will be at 4000 ft, and my bike is jetted for zero to 1500. What should I do? Can I install one of those Kuba screws (I don't know if that's right) so I could change the mixture? I have 12,000 miles on my bike and the jetting has been absolutely flawless all this time. I don't want to mess it up. What would you guys suggest? Should I call the shop and ask them since they did the work, and what they recommend? Your thoughts? Please don't tell me I have to re-jet, that would suck.

Ok the shop told me..(they remembered my bike, and in fact they talked to the guy that did my jetting) This is what they said. I can adjust that screw to make it leaner for higher altitudes. Just to remember the turns. I might look for one of those right angle screwdrivers, they don't sell them at the shop. I saw them on-line somewhere. but I'm really short on time now...

Your flippin out over nothing. Is the plug already out? Can you get a small screw driver on the screw head? If it is then just take a small enough screw driver to turn it out some to dial in your jetting. You probably won't even have to since your not going to be there long enough for it to be an issue.
So the bike pops a little or you lose a bit of power.......... Who cares, your not racing and it won't hurt anything.

Deej, do a favor for me. Go to your shop and pick up the largest phone book you can find, then repeatedly beat the **** out of that mechanic.

Theres more to jetting than just that little screw. The most important is the main jet. Chances are your going to be just fine anyway. I woldn't worry about changing a thing. If anything youll just screw yourself up, its not like it will make THAT much of a difference that its going to hurt anything.

This is why EFI is superior.

The guy at the shop said turn it in to lean it. When I get up to 3000 ft I start to lose a bit of power, and it hesitates with this little blurp, so I was just wondering. Maybe I'll make a screwdriver and take it along, but try the bike out first. Thanks guys.
