Default Hybrid helmets? What do you wear

What do you dual sport guys wear?

I would like to buy one helmet to be able to handle off and on road riding.

Do they make one that would give me the best of both worlds without killing my bank account ?

Was checking out the AFX FX-37 but the reviews scare me.

Shoei Hornet. Good helmet.

I've heard good things about the AFX though.

Default Afx fx-37 ds

i have one of these and i wouldn't say its the best helmet. For me i was just starting over on motorbikes and it was cheap and it fits well that was what got me. If you want one to last a while i would look at better or more expensive one's.

just my two cents

I like mine, even has good aerodynamics @ 80 mph. In other words I'm not afraid to look over my shoulder on the freeway only to rip my head from my neck! I only wish the visor was a little lower to help more with sun glare.

I have a really nice Bell Moto 7 and an AFX FX37, and the only time I wear my Bell and goggle combo is on our local trail when nose-to-tail with other riders. Riding alone on our local trail, I prefer the AFX. In Colorado, Moab, and other big trip rides, I wear the AFX even when riding with others. In riding venues like these, you just leave a bit of distance between each other. Even with a bit of dust like you get when overtaking a line of Jeeps, ATV's, etc., the AFX doesn't get a big buildup of dust like you'd expect. I love this helmet. I've had it for over a year now with 3 big trips and tons of local riding. It's a cheaper clone of the Arai and Shoei models, but it still works extremely well.

With the amount of branches my helmet hits on the trails, I'm not buying a nice Shoei or Arai. I like em a lot, but my current helmet takes an *** woopin in the woods. It's kinda nice to not care about scratching it. I have a ONE mx helmet and a Shoei fullface I wear when it's cold.

I had an Arai that I got on sale, great helmet but it got pretty beat up, way too expensive at full price. Really is a nice setup thought.

I've been wearing the Joe Rocket Hybrid for a while. Had to put a generic breath box in it to cut out the fogging inside but, afterwords, its great. Not much distortion through the shield and its pretty comfortable even when its really hot and humid here.
