Well I done, done it

It's a little ripper for sure. definitely can tell the gear ratios are closer, I thought I was missing shifts at first. $2900, and my buddy threw in a new jersey he got with it, and a new helmet he had. Now I need to find an owners manual and a service manual. Time to make some friends at the cafehusky forum.

Well dan, it's off to Cafe-Husky with you. We don't need your kind around here.

Looks very cool to me! I still have my old 390 iron; so beautifully simple.

When you say old 390, you talkin' about a 390 Husky 2S? I had a 360 and 390 Auto back in the day that I raced the enduro circuit on. Neat bikes. I loved those old Husky's.

Mine's not an auto. I'm sure your new one is a few pounds lighter, too?

Hey Jeff...yeah, that pic of your Husky looked pretty much like mine. The Auto's looked just like the manual tranny Husky's of that era except with a green and polished tank. My '76 360 had a straight-leg Betor fork w/drum brake initially before I installed a later model leading axle fork w/disc. The later model 390 was otherwise identical. I loved those bikes. On your weight comment, are you referring to dan's Husky? Our old 2-S Husky's were pretty darned light.

Where in the world did you come up with that old Euro H1? I had a '72 and '74 H2-750 from back then. All those bigger H-series 2-S bikes were a hoot to ride.

I got the H-1 back in....(think....think....) '91. Bought it for $500. I still have the original pipes for it. Bought the Factory Pipes...saved a ton of weight and runs better, too. Yeah; those things are an absolute GAS to ride!! I remember getting a fill-up at a gas station (a frequent occurrence with those little tanks) and wicking into the throttle when I left the place. It was in a "downtown" area. I should've known better.....the engine hit the powerband; back wheel spinning, going sideways.....looking like I was Yvon Duhamel on an old green meanie. (I was laughing my butt off inside my helmet; OMG.) Still have that bike.

Hey!!! Where is your JOFA mouth guard (in the photo)??? Those things were absolute nose-busters!!! If anything hit your chin area...it would drive the top right into your nostrils! OOOUUUCCCHHH!!!!!

JOFA mouthguard?...heck, I thought I'd get more comments on my duct taped elbow guards. I soon had a Bell Moto-something full-coverage helmet after this pic...LOL!
