Very nice, dan. I think you'll be very happy with it. You already know that I won that national enduro out at our race earlier this year on a Husky...LOL!
The 310 street legal version is high on my lust list, but I'd be super happy to have that 250 any time. It might have as much horsepower as my current KLX.

ya the 310 might be perfect, I like the idea of the KTM 350EXC too, but, I can't drop big TNC-money on a new or new-ish bike like those command. I really shouldn't be dropping ANY $$ on ANY bike, but

I think my all time lust bike would be that new KTM350 Freeride in street legal trim. I've seen pics of it, but it's hard to tell if it will ever really make it here in street legal finish.

As for problems, I think the 2008 model still used Zoke's forks (Marzoochi) which are known to have problems with their seals (leaking). A decent suspension tuner should know how to fix this (I think it has something to do with honing something and some lathe work). The rear Sachs shock sometimes makes a buzzing/cavitating noise on rebound, which can be fixed by changing the size of the ball bearing (or something like that) or do what I did and get a Racetech Rebound Separation Valve.
With the fuel injection, I believe this bike uses the same Mikuni EFI system to my bike. It's not bad, but when it comes to tuning it only lets you change the air/fuel mixture in 3 ranges - roughly equivalent to changing your pilot jet size, needle height, and main jet size. To do this, and to reset the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) you need to either take the bike to your dealer or get yourself an iBeat cable. You can get a cheaper one from a company called Semco I think. If you really want to wake the bike up and tune the engine properly you can get a Dynojet Power Commander 5 (a.k.a. PCV) which piggy-backs off your ECU and allows MUCH finer grain tuning of your air/fuel mixtures at different RPM's and throttle positions. From what I understand this REALLY wakes your bike up!
Another power tune you might want to consider is replacing the stock 4-port fuel injector with a 12-port injector. It atomises the fuel a lot better so you get better throttle response etc. Changing the injector will probably need you to get a Power Commander 5 to get the best out of it though. There's an addon for the PCV called an "Autotuner" which plugs into the PCV and puts an O2 sensor in the exhaust header to monitor the exhaust gasses and feed back changes to the PCV map to make sure your air/fuel ratios are optimised.
But as it is now, get on it and wring its neck - have a great time riding it!

Thanks Arctra, Really appreciate the heads up. I stumbled upon the CafeHusky site after looking through a thread about the TE250 on ADV. Good to hear that I'm looking in the right spot.

Funny you mention the fork seals. The bike in the ad that darkmarc posted has 750 miles on it and the seller says it needs fork seals soon. hmmm

dan, I didn't realize it was an '08. I saw the pic of the one with the "red-head" and thought it was a later model. Those '08's have 5 less hp than our KLX.
