Surprisingly only about 1,500 miles since. Not much at all. Enough to make feel feel confident that the engine is solid.

So what happened? Did you redo it yourself or have somebody do it for you?

I was going to do my 351 myself... now I'm not so sure!!

You can do it. This was my very first time into an engine and it turned out fine. Take your time, use the manual, do your research, ask questions, and follow torque specs.

RobG - it's easy if you can read directions and don't guess on things like torque specs

Rob:

1. Follow torque specs, make sure you understand torque sequence too.

2. Don't speed shift on a fresh top end with a high compression big bore. (Don't shift through the gears without ever letting off the throttle.

3. Don't do any camshaft modifications to an already close piston/valve clearance.

4. Follow the owners manual, and remember, installation is the reverse of removal. (haha)
