I think it'd looker cooler if you did the fork guards. I'm not a fan of flat-black to begin with, but it doesn't look terrible. I wouldn't paint mine black, I'll just say that.

Well first off thanks for all the replies and no offence taken I'm just not a fan of green the bike has also been white and I didn't paint the fork guards because I'm not a fan of the stockers and looking for a different style. The fender was cut due to a friend of mine laying his soldering iron on it and melting through it, and its actually a satin black with a matte clear. Next things up are some flush mount turn signals a kx rear fender and maybe a sm front, then I still have to figure out how to get it registered, does anyone know anything about special construction registration?

I used automotive paint, I don't think you could powder coat plastic due to the fact that you have to bake it at 400 to 500 degrees.

Yeah and it's hard to magnetize plastic too.

I've heard truck bed liner works good for painting dirtbikes as it's thick and withstands scratches. Anyone want to experiment?

Hey I used to have a buddy with an R1 that we spayed with truck bed liner that stuff is super strong and will actually let your plastics take a lot more abuse, I don't remember what brand it was but you could hit his fairings with a hammer and not break them
