didnt read that pdf.... but i thaught to correctly set the screw the bike needs to be running, and to adjust the screw with it running you need that 90degree screw driver or kouba fuel screw.

i'm pretty sure if you have the bike running and you turn the screw one way till the bike runs like crap and then turn it back the other way while counting how many turns, untill it runs like crap again, then set it to half what you counted.... thats what my mechanic said, but who knows for sure how accurate that is...

RE: How to set the fuel screw.
Thanks west for that wonderful site. Couldnt U instead of taking all that stuff off just take the seat off remove the fuel hoses followed by the tps push pull cables, then take the flanges on the carb loose then pull it out the hole where the air box was?

RE: How to set the fuel screw.
We've got the 300cc high flow airboot on our AUS spec bikes down here. They're flexible rubber not the hard plastic you get. I've never taken it off, so I wouldn't know if it's easier? I can have the carb' out in about 10 minutes now as I've done it a few times. The 300 airboot does make it easier than you guys with the hard plastic square boot. Oh, and we dont have TPS or the "smog" stuff on AUS spec bikes either. Our bikes are actually KLX250R models, you guys get KLX250S. My log book says KLX250R H7. I'm sure that's why we get a few different parts to the USA spec bikes.
