How to Post a Full Sized Picture Here!
I've been asked several times, so that tells me it's time to put a little procedure together to help y'all post pictures.
First thing, I have an account with a place on the web called "Photobucket". This is a free account and I find "Photobucket" works better than the others I have tried.
Prior to putting a picture on "Photobucket" I size it to an appropriate size for this forum, which happens to be 800 x 600. That gives every a nice view of the picture, they can see the detail and it doesn't use up too much space. I try to keep the photos, even high def ones under 200,000 K Bytes of size. There are many photo programs that will enable you to do just that. If you use XP as your operating system, there is a handy-dandy little utility program that comes for FREE called Microsoft Office Picture Manager. It will fix your pics and resize them to whatever size you want. 800 by 600 pixels is a built in size, so it's easy to remember. I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0. It gives me a lot of ability to enhance pics, and I'm used to it. Takes awhile to learn and I don't recommend it if you're not familiar with Adobe products - can be kind of cumbersome.
Once you have your account on "www.photobucket.com" you are ready to roll. Go there, sign in and load your picture to your account on this "hosting" site. Once the picture is there, then you need to "right" click your mouse on the FULL SIZE version of the picture. To get there, simply "left" click on the smaller picture shown and the large one will open up.
When you "right" click the mouse on the chosen picture, a window will open with the bottom choice being "Properties". "Left" click on this choice, then another window named "Properties" will open up. About halfway down the page you will see something like this:
NOTE: I am using quotation marks " around the data so it is treated as text instead of data.
Address: "http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h183/KLXRider/teaser.jpg"

You will need to highlight the "http://s64.photobucket.com/albums/h183/KLXRider/teaser.jpg" and then either "Right" click or use the good old <Ctrl> and "C" keys simulataneously to copy the address into the clipboard.
All the hard work is done now . . . . . the rest is quite simple!
Now, in the thread you want to post the pic in, simply select the "image" button in the line-up of button just above the area where you enter your text.
You should have "[IMG][/IMG]" sitting on the screen.
Move the cursor between the "][" that sit in the middle of "[IMG][/IMG]" and either "Right" click and select paste or hit the <Ctrl> and "V" key simultaneously!
You should then be able to hit the "Preview" button at the bottom of the screen and see if you have everything there.
BTW, this is the picture that is located in the example above . . . . .
Now, give it a try!
Hope this is helpful!
