On my 09 KLX330s with FCR pumper No lid and full exh I was getting just under 50mph. The GF gets around 80mph on KLX250sf with exhaust KDX250 snorkle. Whe I ride it its around 65mpg(I weigh twice as much and am much more agresive on the throttle.

I very regularly get between 75 and 85 mpg. I ride on the road, speed limits is mostly 45-50 mph, with a short highway run at 60 mph. I switch over to reserve at 100 miles and then go another 30-35 before I need to stop for gas. After 5000 miles, my lowest ever MPG was 72 and my highest was 96. I have a stock 2009 KLX 250S.

That's great stirfry. Funny how we modify these bikes to make them more efficient with regards to pumping air and fuel by opening up the intake and exhaust. Then we jet the carbs to make them run properly. Yes, we get more power potential but it isn't as though fuel is being wasted.

All along, just leaving it alone yields the best mpg.

Not enough!

That's my answer and I'm sticking to it - until I finally find a bigger gas tank at least...
