And on the production Impala:
Engine(s) 3.5 L (214 cu in) LZE V6[5]
3.9 L (237 cu in) LZ9 or LZG V6[6]
5.3 L (325 cu in) LS4 V8[7]
The car you see on the track Sunday has absolutely nothing in common with the car you see on the dealer's lot. It is a Chevy by name only, just as if you gave NASA your 249cc Kawasaki engine and they gutted it to the core, replacing every piece with their custom-made parts. No longer a Kawasaki.

Just speculation here, but I bet the F.I. version of our bike would easily pump out over 30 HP once a Power Commander (or similar) is released, if combined with a pipe and a big bore. But for us poor shmucks that bought the '09 with the carburetor I think 30 is about peak for a reasonable build.

Just my .02, as I said before, I'm a psychology major not a mechanical engineer.

I know, EMS, it's easier to make a point if you water down the figure, right

You get 6hp alone from the 250 to 331cc increase.

50 to 60% gain is pretty significant. A worthy pursuit, IMO, and entirely achievable with easy bolt-on mods.

+1. If only you could get 50-60% more from your car for so little cash. KLX rocks.

What we need is a 400cc kit for the KLX. 398cc with F.I. is all I'm asking for.
