Back to what FM said.... How long does it have to last?
Look at normal V8's.... 300-400 hp.... out of the box(smaller displacement) Then look at top fuel v8's..... 8,000hp. Running on alcohol.... Speed is only a question of money.
But long term and reliability..... i dont know....lol

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Don't take things personal around these forums. I've been in a bunch and all of them have their trolls. As for the little engine that could, someone said it earlier "how much cash you got?" or something like that.
I bet if one of us donates our little 249cc power plant to a group of NASA rocket scientist along with a truck load of cash they could massage 1000HP at the crank (yeah ok so it would last maybe for 5 seconds at 50,000 RPM).

And you have to ask yourself: If you give NASA your engine and they tear it apart and rebuild it to make a gazillion horsepower, or maybe respectable, long-lasting numbers, is it even a Kawasaki engine anymore? If everything in it is NASA and they designed it, is it even the same thing? I think being realistic, this engine is only going to make X horsepower as a Kawasaki engine. What that X is, I honestly don't konw, I'm a psychology major, not a mechanical engineer. I would GUESS that 30-ish is a reasonable high water mark.
Its like Jeff Gordon's "stock" car. Yeah it has stickers on it calling it an Impala, but I challenge you to find one common part between that vehicle and what my local Chevy dealer has on the lot.

how much power can the motor make, and how much power can the motor make with all kawi parts on it is a completely different story....
both impalas have a bowtie on it... does that count? lol
