Which would be problematic if it happened at 3 in the afternoon in winter, when it's dark by 5:30.
im the same way. ive ridden death valley my fair share and ill lose coverage by noon the first day, and not get it basicly till i get home. this is the reason i have a spot, if you dont have one, get one.

The KLX engine is tough. I've got 18,000 miles on my '07. The majority of those miles are hard highway commuting miles at 70mph +. I've clocked some hard off road stuff on her too and must admit that I could have taken better care of the bike along the way. So far the bike keeps on giving. Valve adjustment are important for the bike... Bottom line is that you can get alot of miles out of this little engine.

I have 15,000 KM on my 09, 8,000 of those are from two long trips, I have run that engine a 6500rpm for many hours on end with no problems, the bike starts in seconds in almost any weather, and runs strong. I would not be surprised to get 50K out of it.

Memo to self: never buy a used bike from Finger Mullet, buy Deej's instead.

Not so, NB. Deej's probably has bottomend damage due to severe carbon buildup in the combustion chamber causing a 20:1 compression ratio resulting in knocking out the crank roller bearings.

Geez, deej...this has turned nasty.

LOL!...yeah...in my part of the country, if people don't kid you and give you a harmless hard time now and then, they don't like you. The quiet treatment.
