How long stock tires...

RE: 3,000 miles +
Close to 3,000 mostly"around town"miles on my stock rearand it's pretty much toast, but I'm going to push it until June when my inspection/registration is due for renewal. I don't have the tools to swap a tire at home, and I'd rather only bring it to the shop once if I can. Like others have said, a lot depends on how/where you ride.

RE: 3,000 miles +
I'm surprised at the mileage you are getting(or not getting) out of your tires.
I have 7000+ miles on my KLX. It still has the original front 603s and still has some decent tread left. I replaced my rear 603s at about 4500 miles, only because it was getting a little slippery offroad. It still had plenty of tread for the street. I still have the Trakmaster rearthat I put on 2500 miles ago and it still has plenty of tread.
Iride very agressive on the street, slide the rear out a lot, wheelie all the time, go 85 mph(indicated) on the highway, and ride offroadon occasion when I get the chance.
How come I'm getting so much tire life??? [&:]
You guys must ride like maniacs!!

RE: 3,000 miles +
I noticed most of my tire wear was on the braking side of the tread with the knobby tires. My 607 on the rear doesn't show that and it is an even wear...It is a more street oriented tire and for 90 bux it had better last every bit of at least 8-10,000 miles.I think it will last at least that long.
