Does using - [img] [/img] place the image wanted into the thread instead of in a tiny thumbnail pic that needs to be clicked on?

 

Yes it does - I host my photos on photbucket and when replying to a thread I insert the image using the [img] [/img]. In the reply box there is an yellow envelope looking thingy. Hoover over it and it will say insert image, click that and enter your image.

I am new to this forum but it is the same on all the forums I waste my time on.

yup start a free account on photobucket. Easy to use, and yeah just copy the IMG tag that is automatically put on by photobucket and paste it in your thread on KF.
