How do you lighten the bike?

There are some pictures of my bike in the sticky thread I added recently, so should be on the last page. Front plate? Do you mean number plate, as we don't have front number plates in Oz.

That is probably the best and least expensive way for many of us... myself included.
Otherwise it is to spend a lot of money and cut off a lot of stuff...
Or take it to a KTM dealer and see if you can trade it in. Yes, I know this is a sacrilegious statement here...

Already sitting at 70kg, so not much I can do there. Sacrilegious yes, but that is what will happen later this year. The guys I ride with are very good riders and we go up and down some rediculously steep and rough tracks. The KLX has been great, particularly with the mods including the MCM for the low down torque, but I am out growing it so will probably upgrade to either a WR250 or WR450.

Why would you upgrade to a wr250? It's only 10 lbs lighter and if you did rejet ,pipe, liddless, mcm you pretty much have the same bike? CRF450L would be a good option but we're talking 10,000 bucks.

My bad, I should have included the model. Do you have the WR250F, or just the R? Keep in mind these are aussie dollars so probably around the 10K USD. 256lb and quite different to the R.
