Default How do you adjust the sag suspension spring to affect seat height ?

I am trying to understand whether tightening (compressing) or loosening (expanding) the suspension spring lowers the seat height. I am 160 lbs and 5'8' tall. I do not want to use lowering links but I would like to lower the seat a little. Is this what the adjusting the sag is for or is it more about the rider weight?

Adjusting sag or adjusting the spring is for wt only.

I'm 5'9" and weigh a lil under 170.....I have 200lb rider springs all around and Raising Links with a guts racing High seat. Just learn to use the stock height .... in a little you will think it is too low and want to raise it.

You'll get used to the height in time. I'm 5'9" on a good day, so I'm right with you, though I weigh a fair bit more so I sag the suspension a bit. I might need a tad less sag but it feels good riding it, though I often feel like I'm being pogo-ed off the bike, I think there is too much rebound in the bike.

You can adjust the rebound of the KLX Rear Shock. Maybe some of you guys already know but anyway.

The screw on the side of the rear shock (on that gas bottle like thing) is to adjust comprssion (how fast it compresses after a shock or whatever.

Then on the underside of the shock (look at the rear shock exactly from near the bottom side chain slider on the swing arm. The place where the swing arm at shock joins. You should see a screw there, that is to adjust rebound..

Hope that helped.

I just had my suspension modified for superemoto and lower an inch. my wife at 5'4'' can touch flat foot. No more rubbing the rear fender when I lift my leg over.
