How to clean white plastics on bike?
#11
Yep! Very similar. Although I recon the contact cleaner is a true "no residual" product. Both work well. Sketch the suspension settings etc on panels on the bike with a marker pen. Just wipe em off with the contact and add new settings for reference. Too easy.

mothers is a brand, being in europe i think maybe you guys have mcquires or another high quality plastics polish, or car wax, i fgor got when ni was in germany nobody knew what mothers was either, i forget the brand i used from ATU but i know you guys can get something good. as for the paint rubbing off, clean it off good maybe use brake cleaner and get a good high temp engine paint, mask off all important non poainted areas and respray it the color of your choice. good luck

I have always used lacquer thinner to clean off stuff that wont come off with soap and water. Its is my secret weapon! It's awesome on grease smudges and the like. Quick dab on a rag and then dry it off right after and you're golden. Been using it on the bike for 5 years and on other stuff for 30, never hurt anything.

Thanks all, brake cleaner worked a treat, tried it quickly this morning and it looks brand new now! almost like the dirt soaks in to plastic so water etc does not touch it but solvent dissolves it, hope its not dissolved my panel when i get home, alien acid style lol!!
