How to clean throttle tube with vulcanized grip klx300
I am trying to replace my stock grips. The throttle tube grip was so heavily glued on that the inner case side has some left that seems almost vulcanized on. I was able to get most off however in between the small lip quite a bit left. Any suggestions on how to clean this up. Can I soak the plastic in something to remove or cheaper to buy a new throttle tube.

Carburetor cleaner usually has some toluene or similar solvent.
Try wrapping a shop rag around the remnants of the grip and saturate the rag with the carb cleaner.
Let it soak for 15 minutes and see if it has dissolved the glue.
You may need to do multiple applications to get stubborn glue off.

Thank you for the answer. I will keep that in mind for future projects for sure. Don' t have carb cleaner right now and for the same price can get a new tube.
I went ahead and ordered a new plastic tube from a Zeta distributor.
Thanks again.
