Default Hotcams shim kit?

I am hunting around online for shim kits for the KLX and I am finding Hotcams are about the only choice. *

I last checked the clearances at 8000km (5000mi) and they were fine but I am now at 12000km (7500km) and I am anticipating an adjustment might be required as I am now at the manufacturers recommended service interval.

I have seen others on this forum refer to Hotcams shim kit; any issues with them or any alternate recommendations?*

Reasonable price to pay? It looks like I can buy them & get them sipped to Canada for ~$100.

Any suggestions or advice to*grind the old shims down will be respectfully ignored

I just use an old file I have laying around.

I've used Hot cams many times on my Goldwing and other bikes with great success.
Have not done my KLX.

One thing worth noting with my previous experience, the Hot Cams kits did not come in the smallest incremental sizing.
They skipped a step in between based on what you can get from the OEM.

I use Hotcams, as well. Check e-bay. I got my 7.48mm kit for US$72 shipped.

Thanks all, it wasn't my intention to have you all doing a bunch of research for me but I appreciate it! Thanks for the tip on Google Search too EMS. I am sometimes a bit of a ludite when it comes to all the great stuff Google is constantly coming out with.

Shims ordered!
