Default horn/unabiker issue

well, during my first ride this year (after rad guards installed), I went to toot the horn at my fellow riding buddies as we parted ways at the end of our ride and the horn sounded like crap. So today I decided to take a look and see what was going on, and this is what I found:

1. At the time I installed the rad guards , I had the horn removed andwhenI tightened the horn back onto the tab on the frame, the motion of tightening the bolt caused the horn bracket to swing inwards towards the frame until the bottom of the bracket came in contact with the rad guard. Thiscaused the horn to sound like crap as it would vibrate through the rad guard.[:-]
2. Another similar issue noticed was that the horn bolt also is too long to use with the rad guards for this same reason...it protrudes through the rear of the tab and comes in contact with the rad guard...soI replaced it with a shorter bolt.[:-]

After replacing the bolt and holding the horn centered while tightening and retesting the horn, all was well.

So any who have installed the guards, may want to check your horn unless you were on the ball and noticed these when you put it back together...unlike me who didn't notice it until I went to use the horn and it wasn't loud, just vibrated a lot. Pics available upon request.
