Default Hoot's first Turkey Run

I did this Turkey Run up here in Ct. and RI. I think there was something like 200 bikes in attendance. Go to this link for some videos (post#34). None of them are me or my group but I figured I'd share it anyway. It was a good ride right up until I got a rear flat 2 miles from any road and then 10 miles of hardtop back to the truck. Since I'm running 2 rimlocks and the rear tire has such a stiff sidewall the tire didn't come off the rim and all I had to do was put in a new tube. It happened with only a few trail sections left so I didn't miss any of the real snotty stuff.

Looks like you had a great ride out there. I had thought about going, but wasnt sure if my skill level was up to par. The trails didnt look to bad at all actually, although I am only on the 3rd video. Did it start at Barnes Concrete of RT.44? Was the trails mostly in CT or RI? To bad about the flat, what got ya? A rock?

Is a Turkey Run the same as a Poker Run?

not exactly. there are check points but you don't get a card. they lean more towards offroad bikes moreso than the big BMW's or V-Strom type bikes.

42......... You would have had no priblem on this one. Most of Pachaug is worse than these trails were and we ended up on the powerlines out in Buckhill. It was a pinch flat so I'm guessing it was a rock. Hard to tell so since we were at warp 9 the entire time.

seams like all the good rides end up on advrider. looked like a killer ride, doing new to you single track is always a load of fun.

That was actually a netra ride. I have been out with a few of those Advrider guys though. This is pachaug. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQCDdOpMq7A
It's a 60 mile loop and is nasty.
