@ Greenblood

I love the sound of the HMF. This one has the quiet core in it and I still think it sounds great.

And keeping the bike clean ain't no OCD! You can't see it but there are millions of tiny critters in that mud that slowly munch away at your bike while you aren't looking. Plus it goes faster when it's clean.

wellcome to the forums.....i was looking at your pics,i think if you change the end cap of the hmf and put on the downturn one,it might help your melting prolm.

Thanks guys. I think the signal is done melting for now. Once I got the rejet done (previous owner did not mess with the jets at all after putting the HMF on) the pipe does not seem to get as hot. The signal doesn't appear to be melting anymore. And if it does I will get some new ones at that point. Knowing me I will probably end up breaking them off before that point anyhow.

Here are a couple pics that I snapped this afternoon. Just finished putting new Renthal bars, Acerbis handguards and grips on it. The guards took required some dremel tool work to get them to fit how I wanted but they fit well now.

Thanks!

I should also note that I also had to do a little cutting and shaping of the levers to make the hand guards fit.

Spoke with HMF they said they have no proof yet with these lights melting. So there getting a pic of mine. It is burnt through now. I was looking and if you just take a 1/8 in piece of metal and drill two hole in it 2 inchs apart it will drop the muffler enogh to miss everything. It fixed mine. Had to knock out the shunts in my handle bars for my bark busters to

To fit my HMF i wound up making a bracket to drop the slip on down about an inch and a half. Ill take some pictures if interested, it was pretty simple
