Default RE: Hitting A Deer On Your Bike

About 8 years ago, I was cruising along at about 75 on a twisty road at night on my '78 KZ650. All of the sudden, within an instant,I realized I wasRIGHT IN THE MIDDLEof a pack of young deer. For some miraculous reason, I didn't hit any. But seriously, there must have been 7 or 8 of themand I just blew right through the pack. It was over and done with before I even had time to react. It could have been really ugly, as this video illustrated. Needless to say, I was very careful on the rest of that ride, and hardly ride at night anymore.

Yep, a pretty scary prospect as the video shows.

I hit a deer last year on my klx.(doing about 45-50)Luckily I just caught the front end of the deer and didnt come off the bike. Came out with just a few bruises on my arm, blood (deer's) on my shirt and busted blinkers.

I almost hit one in the mountains. That 1st vid reminds me of the time it happened. Lucky for me the deer made a 90 degree turn right next to me. It was in the middle of the day in North Ga. very scary! I was haulin a$$ when it happened if he didn't get out of the way I would have ended up like that guy.[:@]
