Default Hitch Mount Bike Carriers

Anyone have one or use one - still waiting on my 09 and thinking of ways to carry it - trailer seem most secure but hard to store - hitch rack gives me visions of dragging my bike down the highway - the Moto Jack Rack gives me more.

These work great. My Bro has been using one for years with his YZ250 with no problems. They have a little movement but as long as you strap the KLX to it tightly, You'll have no trouble.

Are there any minimum height requirements? I have a Crown Vic with a class 3 towing hitch, but it sits pretty low. Worried about scraping.

It sticks out a ways from the receiver so you might be scraping in some spots with the crown vic. I got an aluminun rack from a store on Ebay for $100 shipped. I was leary of it, but searched it on this and other forums and had heard decent things about it. I was very happy with the quality when it came and have been pleased with the way it has worked for me. I have used it on two long trips. One trip about 800 miles to central IL and back and another trip to Colorado and back, with the bike on the back of the truck for more than 2000 miles.

I have a MotoTote carrier. Built like a navy battleship too! Here's a link to check it out. http://mototote.com/ Two of my buddies use the hydraulic jack gizmos that slide into the receiver. If i had it to do again, I might have bought it instead because of the price and the simplicity of the device. It just didn't look like it was worthy of my motorcycle investment at the time. They both like theirs, so I guess it is a good device after all.

Regards,
