Default RE: High Altitude Jetting

This weekend I took the plunge and rejetted the bike. It only took about 2 hours and it would have been much faster if my 3 year old son wasn't helping.

I used the N1TC needle (2nd notch), #122 main jet, and 1.5 turns out on the fuel screw. The bike runs much better and is easier to start. I thought the cap over the fuel screw was plastic but mine (2007 model) was aluminum and impossible to remove. I had to drill it completely out. Also, the fuel screw was nearly bottomed out.

This combination seems to work well formesince I am at ahigher alltitude. Ihave alsoadded aKDX snorkel, K&N filter and drilled the1st baffle in the stock exhaust (the slip-on fromHMF has not yet arrived).

Welcome gmilbu,
With a little more research you would have found that the fuel/air screw cover is easily removed by drilling through the aluminum cap, inserting a screw, and just pull it out.
