Default What is hanging off my bike?

Hey guys so I was just looking under my bike and saw this tube hanging down! Whats it for and where does it belong? Thank you!

Update: Took it to my local motorcycle shop and the man told me that its some sort of one way valve for the carb and to just leave it be its fine where it is. Said that it is a common mod people due to bypass some epa regulations.

What is the other end connected too??? Could be an aftermarket fuel filter or someone put a filter in the crank case breather to air box tube.

Ride on

Oh my gosh!...did you buy that bike from a Mexican cartel member? That's how they smuggle their drugs in those little containers.

But seriously, that's Al Gore's oil catch tube...seriously.

Leave it if you care about the environment and don’t want some oil overflow dripping out to the ground; leave it and one day notice it has disappeared (ripped off on the trails like mine); or pull it off.

OP's pic shows another annoying thing about hose routing on most KLX's. Those 3 carb vent and overflow tubes are a bit of a hassle if you don't take some time and trouble to bundle and/or route them properly, they can easily get mashed and pinched by the linkage and/or trail obstacles. Also the overflow often dribbles fuel in rough terrain regardless of proper fuel level settings and can run right into the linkage bearing pivots. Make sure the overflow is directed away from those pivots.

The previous owner put them on...I think he said 1 1/2 inches. I will be putting the stock links back on if youd like to buy these from me I have no use for them so id let them go cheap. Let me know!
