Help with raising forks
So got my lowering links installed in the back no problem but the front is fighting me a bit. I loosened all bolts completely and smacked everything with a mallet - left fork leg came up nicely as far as it could (about an inch) but the right one only moved up slightly. I tried knocking the top triple with the mallet - nothing. I tried jumping on the bike - nothing. I locked down the left fork and then tried the same things - nothing. Anyone have advice before I go medieval on it? It would be a one person job unless the wife can help with it....
Thanks

If you have something that won't mar the fork legs, that you can also use to pry open the triples a tiny bit, it(the fork leg) should move easily. If not you have an issue.
Wait...
Is the front wheel still on? That will make life harder I think.

Get a bunch of screwdrivers. Stick the biggest blade that will go in the crack, in the crack and twist, spreading the clamps. While it is a little spread, stick a bigger driver blade in there. Repeat till it is loose. Put a piece of wood shim in there once you have it opened up.

OK I'll try the screwdrivers maneuver. And yes, the front wheel is still on. If that doesn't work I guess I'll take off the wheel-
So when I'm done with this I just need to reset the sag - no need for new springs front or rear right...

I've found the twisting works well on the different bikes I've worked on, from the KLX to a Goldwing. Once you twist it a little, it will move more easily. If you can't twist it at all - use the pry method to open the clamps up a little to see if that helps.
