bought one, more to try to sipe tires than sharpen them, It never really got hot enough in my winter garage. They were nice and sent me a new one of higher wattage. I just use it to melt and cut other plastic and rubber projects now, tires I just turn around when they get rounded, then replace them. I f you have more patients than me you can trim the lugs up though, it does work!

Just to let you know that for those tires that the Knobby Knife can't save, I'm working on a process where you can glue rubber feet on. I just need to find a good adhesive. They keep falling off so far.

lol... Might be better to protect your tire ***** by wrapping them with protective tape
