One last piece of advice, you need an impact driver, this is a tool that will attach to either a socket or screw driver type bits that you hit with a hammer to loosen tight screws. It is a must have tool for a motorcycle mechanic and kept me from stripping some of the external screws on the carb.

Thanks, I've just ordered my FMF end can. Can't wait to hear what it sounds like !!!! .. Will look into all that carb advice you gave me and the impact driver.

I wouldn't use an impact driver on these carbs. You are holding a few hundred dollars in your hand, and swinging a hammer at it could easily lead to trouble. If you have trouble with the Phillips head screws being tight, and "camming out" (the head stripping out) get some Allen head screws of the same size to replace them. The Allen head screws will not cam out, but you will have to be more careful not to over do it when tightening them.

Use a bit driver on a ratchet with the appropriate sized phillips bit. You cannot get enough downwards force with a screwdriver to remove the tight, soft screws on most carbs.

Once removed you can replace with allen bolts, but in my experience if you don't strip the screws out in the first place then you won't have a problem.

Truth about jetting. the klx is rich in the main. lean on the needle. Compeltely fine for cruising.
