Help with jetting and tires?

stablizer was nice when going through rough deep cracks and uneven pavement at higher speeds....not needed, but I can just ride with one hand on the throttle without worries....
sag adjustments and adjustments to compression and rebound made a huge difference to the stability...
front at max and rear lifted a little over an inch made it even more stable at higher speeds and it carves mountain turns with ease...easier and quicker to throw around left and right through turns...but, sacrafice emergency braking...rear fishtails a bit...i now know how hard and distance I need to give myself for emergency stops....

What jet kit Part # for an 07. Everyone in the past told me to go with a klx300 part number but I'm not sure why. I went to dynojet web site and they only list a part # for 09 and newer, and the one for the 300. I have asked before and going to ask again, do I want the 300 kit Part #. 2206

It would be interesting to know if the needles are the same between the two kits, and what kind of performance difference you should expect. Maybe give Dynojet a call and ask them?

I bet they will both work as I've never heard anyone yet say the 06/07 carbs are different from 09+. I used the 2206 because that's what was available. This kit instructs you to drill the slider and doesn't include a new weaker spring. I think it's opposite for the 09+ kit.

I just looked at the 2206, 2182, and 2152 kits.
The 2206 (for the KLX300) that many of us have used includes 4 main jets and a drill bit for the slider, no new spring.
The 2182 and 2152 kits include 6 main jets and a slider spring, no drilling of the slider. I don't see any difference between these two kits.
The needle part number for the 2206 is different from the other two.
I think if I were doing it all over, I'd get the 2152/2182 kit for the 250, and get the 2206 kit for a big bore.
