Landon, your initial jetting sounds about identical to mine with the exception of the pilot...I still use a 35. And even though my '06 model has a factory KLX300 jug, I still get great mileage. My worst, pure, off road mileage under heavy flogging is about 45mpg. My pavement/dirt road cruising can go as high as 65mpg. Something does sound wrong with yours. Unless there's a hole in your tank, something's amiss. Even with the KACR, you can do a compression test, and it at least could show any serious issue there. On my 250 before I installed the 300 cylinder, I checked the compression and it came out right at max according to the manual. Check yours to see if anything might be evident. At least it would probably remove something in the compression cycle as the problem.

TNC: are you using a 125 Kaw (Keihin) jet, or DynoJet #125? A Keihin #125 is equivalent to a #118 DJ.

I wouldnt be too concerned with fuel mileage as to where all that fuel is going. I bought a CB700 night hawk. The carbs were so gummed up it was dumping fuel into the crankcase there was almost 2 quarts too much oil that came out. If the fuel mileage is that bad where is the fuel going? Gasoline in the crankcase isnt really that good.

I've ridin' 7 grand on the trails and wide open out on the sand with paddles still got 45 mpg.
Get that jetting figured out!
when My mileage went south..... it turns out I cooked the spark plug and it acted like poor jetting.

I don't either necessarily, but as you pointed out in another post it may cause for concern of where that fuel is going. Is it just dumping on the ground? In the crankcase? Is just being burnt up?

I expected to loss mpg with the performance mods, but I also don't want to have to be looking for gas every 50 miles when out trail riding. Lots of areas of the country that can be a major problem.
