Hey @durielk , anytime you're in the N. Texas area, ya gotta swing by me ranch casa ... I'll get up a good grill'in fire and go shoot us someone's farm animal..You like horse.. emu .. dog ?
What I don't get are people who think they are friends with animals, but they eat them? I feel sorry for them.

Ok.....so now that my post created a pissing match! I have a few questions about the original topic of exhaust! For starters I think I have narrowed it down to an HMF slip on. Question is where do I get one? I don't see anything listed on their sight and I emailed them w no reply yet. Next, best place to get an EJK and I am to assume they are KLX specific or are theree different ones for different bikes? As for the PAIR valve plate, best place to get that? Oh and does the EJK come with the O2 delete plug?

Well if anyone in the future is looking for an HMF slip on, they no longer make anything for the KLX or any dirt bikes. That is per tech support from HMF. They said its been 5+ years since they have! Kinda bummed now. Back to the drawing board!!

What I find, is that I can go darn near as fast on my klx as I can on my ktm 2 smoker. I think the limiting factor for me is skill level. I'm comfortable with a certain amount of speed and after that I just sort of use cruise throttle, even though when I was racing I use to always tell myself, either gas or brakes. I can honestly tell you that I probably wouldn't go any faster on an $11,000 350exc, but I do know that if I had said 350exc, it wouldn't stay stock for long either. Now in racing conditions, the klx doesn't give much passing power, but there's always compromising between bikes.

Ah, an engine freed from the evil coils of the EPA is a beautiful thing. My '17 KTM500 EXCF is another bike that response exceptionally well to a (Q cored) uncorking and tune, to the tune of ~38hp stock to 52-54hp. All for the price of a little time, new can, and $240 piggyback tuner. I just picked up a '21 KLX300, and ordered a Q4 (and a slew of other parts). I appreciate the knowledge shared here on the KLX platform. My goal with the KLX is finding a nice balance between sound, low to mid trail grunt, and range. Curious as to how far I can uncork her, before getting too lean. I've already noticed pull improving as the motor loosens up. I'm hoping I can pull the airbox lid, and run the Q4, without a fuel tune. I've heard the pair vale block off can help, in this case. Sound plausible? Anyone checked the mileage change with tuner? Timing change? Both together? I don't want to give up much with a 2 gallon tank..I don't ride much pavement.
