Default Help !

Hi Guys,

I just tried to rejet my carb with a dynojet kit. The actual rejet process went perfectly well.

HOWEVER.

I have screwed up the plumbing somewhere with reinstallation of the carb. I have a fricken thin black pipe that I cannot for the life of me work out where it goes.
My first thought was a breather but when I turn on the petcock fuel leaks out the thin black pipe.[&:]It doesnt stop till I turn to petcock to off.

So has anyonehave or know of a pic or schematic of the carb that can help me work out where ive gone wrong?

Yes i should have marked the hoses with something to tell me where they go and no I didnt because I thought I would remember. hehe.

SO its a thin black pipe. a lot smaller than the pinky colored ones.

Any help appreciated.

Glen

sounds like your carb bowldrain line...... make sure the screw on the bottom of the bowl is tight..... if it is your float might be stuck.... Finger mullet knows about that....

Thanks for the advice its too late at night for me to check that now. Soon as i finish work tommorow I'll check .

Has anyone got a close up pic of the engine from both sides? Then I can make sure I am putting the hoses in the right place.

Thanks

That link is good but doesn't show me what plugs in where to the carb.

Is it possible that its draining fuel because I have plugged hoses in wrong?

Cheers

Glen

the fuel line is like 1/4" the carb bowl drain is like 1/8" there are 3 lines coming off the carb that just go straight down and dont connect to anything..... it sounds like your float is stuck and is letting the gas run into the carb then overflowing it and its coming out the drain tube.

Stranger things have happened...but could it be the fuel line from the petcock to the carb didn't get put back on the carb? I tend to overlook the obvious, so this sounds like something I'd do.

Got home from work and gave the carb a hard tap with a screw driver. Turned the petcock on . No Fuel from the drain hose and she fired right up .

Float must have not been seated right. Thanks for all the advice.

I'll get out and give it a proper ride tommorow.

I went with the airbox off.

Seems to pull harder which is good. I did notice a little popping on deceleration tho, not sure what to do about that. It did do that a little before rejet too.

I want to see if its given me a little more top end so I can get over 100km and hour.

Yeah so thanks for the help on this one
