Default Helmet Lock

Anyone have any issues with the helmet lock? Mine doesn't seem to want to catch freely. It will after the 20th attempt. I'll probably take it off anyway, but just wondering if anyone else has had similar probs.

I never use it, I take my helmet in where ever I go. It's a good conversation piece. LOL

Same problem. The catch doesn't always return. Just tap it with the end of your key and you'll hear it click. I tried greasingit, but no improvement. It seems ot be getting a little better the more I use it. I guess it just needs to break in a little.

Mine works fine but it does take a bit of fiddling to get a full face Arai (with their short chin straps) to hook on it. You have to put the rad overflow bottle damn near inside the helmet to get it on there.

H'mmm, helmet lock?

You learn all sorts of things by reading this forum!

Now I know we have a helmet lock on our KLX250S's. Never even thought of looking for one.

I guess mine's a little more finicky. But I hear ya on bringing in your helmet. It's a great conversation piece. I think the helmet lock will be disappearing soon though. Haven't looked to see if it's welded on though. Oh well.
