That is a very good deal.

I did look into using a digicam and a bullet camera but as I mentioned earlier, not many of them have AV inputs.
In the end I wasn't going to save any money.

This looks like a good unit.

yeah i'm looking along the lines of that. i'm guessing in frame rates a bare minimum would be 30fp/s.
As that guy on youtube said he uses a aiptek 720p camcorder with an x10 webcam he's modified to remote mount. i haven't seen any results but i'm assuming it's the camcorder that gives you the clarity somewhat along with the webcam lens. They've got the aiptek ahd200 at kmart for 170 so i was thinking that and a webcam hook up???

For clarity, I think about the best you can do without going to HD (expensive!) is to get a bullet camera that will feed into a cam-corder and record to something like mini-DV tape. Where the flash card cameras lose it is in the compression. Recording to tape you don't lose anything and the quality is superb. Of course, you will see some quality loss when you upload to Youtube or Vimeo, but your original will be great, and the uploaded content will still be better than if recorded directly to flash card. But the convenience of flash card is hard to beat, I'm willing to give up some quality for the convenience of simply copying files off a flash card to the computer instead of the slow import process from tape, not to mention durability of tape based recorders probably wouldn't survive very long in a back pack on a dirt bike.

But to get an idea of the quality you can get using bullet camera into a tape based cam-corder, check out Jonathan Belle's vids he does, these are really some of the best I've seen. Note also, that he doesn't upload to Youtube or other service because they don't want the quality loss, so these are full quality versions. The full quality VIO POV.1 output is very similar to this:

Here he talks about his camera set-up:
