Very nice piece of work there NB. Take one part problem, resolve and good old fashioned American ingenuity and bingo! I've been amazed by the fab skills here, and most are the result of issues no one knew existed until they wanted to do something different.
Given the emphasis here on photographic documentation I'd say you have a leg up on the rest of us. Stills are nice, video is awesome. Please make sure to keep sharing.....

Hey thanks, Xerxes. I plan on trying out the mount tomorrow on another ride. Hopefully it works as good as it looks.
I'm still learning this video stuff. It does open up a whole new dimension in sharing a ride. I still like still shots, though. A good photo can really capture so much where a crude helmet cam video falls way short. And vice versa. If one can figure out how to use the strengths of both, some pretty cool stuff should be possible.

Hey illenium, I changed up the mount this evening because the above method didn't work out so well. I had just set my helmet down and the camera fell off. The dual-lock strip glue did not stick well to the foam tape I used to build up the base to get the right angle from the camera. So instead of sticking it back on and risking it falling off during a ride, I decided to do a more solid mechanical mount. I didn't want to put any hole in my helmet, though, so I used the two screws that hold the visor on. Your helmet probably has something similar. Here's what I did - this version looks like it is going to be very solid:
Here's the right side visor mount, this is what I'm going to replace on the left side:
I used a 1/4 inch polycarbonate plate, aka Lexan, drilled and countersunk holes for the visor mount, then drilled for the camera mount:
Camera mount on:
And the camera:
This one seems nice and solid, but should still break away in an accident because the visor screws are just plastic. Hope this helps and gives you some more ideas.

Ok i scambled all the stuff together that came with the ATC cam
and started to figure out how to mount it, i cant do it like you since
the visor is too far on the top, but i found an alternativ which i'll be
trying now
Time to ride...

YouTube is pretty rough on the quality. Try http://www.vimeo.com , it seems to be better.
