Helmet Cam angle...
I mounted my helmet cam on the side of my helmet.
Wow, I really miss judged the angle. I used an agle that I thought would match my line of sight, but instead it looked down and the street, then I increased it up 15 degrees and it is better. I'll increase it up again another 15 degrees... but Jeez!
Anybody else notice that they need to aim higher than they thought they neeeded to?
I'll take a photo of the helmet with the Cam mounted...
I dont just stare at the pavement when I ride... really.

YUP!
I did the same exact thing. Its not that you misjudged your heads angle, its just you don't realize what angle the helmet sits on your head. Luckily on my helmet cam I can adjust 2 clicks up and its good. The other problem is its tilted slightly to the right. Thats a pain. Theres no flat spot except where my strap for my goggles go...cant put it there.

Below are some pics of my Oregon Scientific ATC 2K mounted on my helment. I couldn't get any of the rubber straps or velcro pieces to work like I wanted so I found the best location and used epoxy to glue the mount in place. Fortunately the camera snaps into the mount so I can take it off to start/stop it and then snap it back into the mount. I put a piece of black electrical tape on the side of the helment to act as a check on the camera angle in case it happens to get bumped.

hahaha yeah i've done that with mine. just make sure you dont knock it off angle when you hit a branch depending on your mount setup. some of my vids are a little 'skew' after knocking some shrubbery
Plus, it also helps if you can see what you're recording. (camcorder setup)

"I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries."
