Heated grips and phone charger
I just picked up a '23 KLX300. I have heated grips and a phone charger on order to install on my bike. My question is on the best way to power them. I could put in a relay and power them both off the relay through the battery, but I need a switched power source to trigger the relay. I can't find a wiring diagram online. I hate to splice into wires if I don't have to. Is their an easy place to tap into a switched hot lead?

I had a phone mount with a built in wireless charger on mine, and it came with two washer shaped leads, one on the end of each wire, and I just hooked them right to the battery posts and then ran the wires up to the handlebar, routing them along the frame nice and tucked away. Is yours just two wires with no leads or connectors or anything?
Edit: Mine already had a switch installed though too.

I haven't received it yet, but I am sure it is just two wires. I am not keen on having the phone charger, and particularly the heated grips hooked up directly to the battery. Knowing myself, i'd leave them on and come out later only to find a dead battery. That's why i want to put a relay in and kill the power to those accessories when the ignition is off. I am sure I can find a switched hot wire for the relay easy enough, but I hate to start tapping into wires by just guessing. All the wires are shielded and I also hate to start cutting wire shields away
