headlight options

RE: headlight options
Yes, I'm aware of that. However, if you put a headlight with a 55W H4 Halogen next to a light with a 35w driving light style of bulb (as most aftermarket assemblys have)our stock55W H4throws aheckuvalot more light (lumens). I ride with a lot of youngsters whoarerunning aftermarket setups including theAcerbisDiamond as well as various models of UFO and while they look more stylishthey are downright unsafe at night. They are also a beyotch to get adjusted properly because they basically just stap to your forks and you have to manipulate the straps and play with spacers until they are dialed in. There is only one model offered by UFO that has a bright enough light, but I don't like the looks of it. I think it's the black on in the photo EMS posted.
I finish a lot of my rides after dark, soI'm not willing to take chances mess with visibility. On the other hand, if most all of your riding is duing theday then you don't have much to worry about.

Remember, that watts, is just the amount of power that it is going to consume. You want something that compares Lumens, or Candle power.
An Incandescent(regular light bulb) will be lit at a much higher wattage than a flourescent giving off the same amount of light, or lumens per square foot.

OOPS! My bad, EMS. I didn't even know about PolySport lights. Some of them look pretty good! They might be worth a try.
I really like the style of the EMX model, but it only comes with 35W bulb. They comment that the fixture will accept up to a 55W bulb, but I would question the beam quality at that point...oh well.
My dealer runs with the only 55W UFO offers, but I don't like how it looks.
