I used the home made 8' foot board and a step for many years. I got older and the trucks stock heights got higher. I now use two aluminum 9' "ATV" ramps that fold in half similar to what deej posted. His may be a little wider. I walk up one while running the bike up the other.

+1 on these..... cheap and work great.

Getting the bike on is the easy part. How do you guys get the bike back off by yourself? I have to find a bank or mound to back up against so I can walk the bike off without a 45 degree descent. Is there a trick to doing this by yourself?

For you guys who ride your bike up the ramps and onto the truck, make sure the ramps are strapped to your bumper first! I watched a guy try this with a CRF450 onto his truck. He got his front tire up onto the tailgate and stopped for some reason. When he let the clutch out to get the back tire on, the wheel spun the ramp out from under him and down he went. He was OK, but he messed up his bike and his tailgate.

+ 1 on strapping the ramps to the truck. Mine has two built in straps that are a quick release. Also getting the bike down with my ramp is really easy. I can walk down the left ramp and the bike backs down the right ramp. Put the bike in first gear and use the clutch to ease it down slow and safe.

See, that's the problem Deej. I can't walk down my ramps - it's more like a controlled fall. Even if I stop the bike, I keep on sliding down. I guess I just need to get a ladder-style ramp like you have.

These are my ramps:

These are my ramps:

Those ramps are pretty cool there Mustang, all you need is some 3M anti skid tape. Here you go.

I did the home depot ramp kit with the 3M tape like mentioned above.

The Tape is still holding up, though wrinkly. Has good traction though. Cost about $60 to make I think, and I still have enough to just about do one more.
