RE: Hard/no start, possible fix
well...My results are in...Bike has been parked for 5 weeks....gas off and carb empteeee...I went out the other day (7:30 am actually) and turned on the gas (air temp was in the low 20's) I waited about a minute and pulled the choke and hit the go button....it fired right off with maybe a few revolutions and idled to 1000 rpm....It works.....My cast is off tommorrow morning at 8:15 am and my riding gear is already laid out for me in the living room....

Have fun but be careful on the bike, you don't want to end up in another cast.....oh wait that was an "indoor" injury.[8D] Oh and I hate you for having a bike with no hard start problem. Ok get out there and have fun, and we want a ride report MR!!!

RE: Hard/no start, possible fix
I have been working on bikes since 1979 and when I worked in a Honda dealer I can't tell you how many people came in because there bike wouldn't start all I did was drain the Float bowl and it would fire up .....The aluminum bowl breaks down the gas and it becomes stale in about 3 weeks depending on the temps and the humidity. I drain my bowl and add stabil to all my bikes and atv's also my generators which sit for months at a time. If you add some stabil and run the engine for about 5 mins you are good to go. Its easy to drain the carb if it will be sitting for a few weeks.....

Yoowza. I can see going to the TM-33 or TM-36. Any other benefits or draw- backs? Are they a "bolt on" and ride or do I need to modify anything else?
Hmmmm $345.00 price tag.
And what air filters are you using with these?
Thanks
Marc
