Default Hard Gaurds Installed - D Flex

All the stock parts that came with the D-Flex Kit plus the following:

- I added 3 washers to the end of the tube on the Clutch Side
- I added a smaller washer as a stand-Off for Throttle clearance then the 3 Washers to balance both sides.
- I added a 1/2" spacer (black) at the Clamp Sides
- I Replaced the grips while I was at it, I had droped it twice and the throttle side was less than stellar looking - So they are new.

I think that getting the Throttle grip off was the hardest part of the whole project.

The tube of Scott Grip Glue was empty so I used Hi-Temp Silicopn Gasket Sealer. Sometimes you have to use what you got

I like the Bearings That Cliffsta has on his - cleaner look.

Here are the photos of the result.

Haha, awesome dog! Nice handguards too. I have never had handguards and am just wondering how u attached the handguards at the ends of the bars.

The only problem with adding the bearing and using tapped screws vs. the expanders that come with the kit, is that they WILL spin if you hit them hard in a crash. The bearing keeps the screw from biting down tight enough. Mine rotated a few times. I highly recommend that you watch them after you crash with them. When I put my new bars on, I just used the expanders and no sort of spacers at the end.

If you have a compressor pry the grip up with a screwdriver or something and stick an air line in and blow the grip off.Worked for me.

Awwwwwwww Cool dog, and nice job on the hand guards. But now you gotta get rid of the tall stock mirrors, they are still gonna hit the ground before the bars. The folding mirrors are nice.

+1. You may want to put a thin wrap of electrical tape beneath the mirror/lever clamp, as well, so that when the mirror hits, it'll rotate on the bar before it / lever breaks. And if you don't mind the loss of vision, take off the RH mirror, as most states only require the left (if any at all). My one mirror is slid pretty far in since I cut my bars down, and when we ride the tight stuff, it gets taken off and stashed in the woods.
