Metal weights? Are those bars for quads? I have never bought bars for a bike with that welded into the end of the bars...except for a quad.

To short to fit new bars or to fit the hand guards?

Which bars did you end up getting?

On mine the new bars were too tall which made the cables too short when the bars were turned to the stop. The new bars also mounted the controls further out on the bar itself which further complicated the issue. I remedied the issue by going with lower bars and slipping the throttle cable out of its guide behind the headlight housing. Now it is just the right length.

Can you remember which model you purchased that were too tall for the cables?

Thanks

The Pro Taper CR HI. I tried everything to make them work because I had already trimmed the ends off to match the stock bars width. I could not take them back because I had trimmed the ends so when I had to go buy another set I was not going to have to make another trip so I went the safe route and went with the lower set and did not trim them. They just fit and feel great.

Thats a bugger, Looking at some other posts on here, people have had the CR hi and the KX high fit (which is another 12mm taller), just not mention of whether modifications were needed or not.

Looking at a mates 06 there is lots of slack in the cables, the 09 has bugger all

I have CR HIs, no trimming, & Zeta guards & everything fit fine on an 06. With & without Vortex throttle as well.

My stock bars are bent (2009 KLX250SF). Does anyone have the specs for stock so that I can compare with the aftermarket I'm looking at? Width, height, and pullback? Thanks!

metal plugs will dampen vibration in the bars.

Can you clarify the 12mm higher comment. Are those both 12mm higher or just the KX high 12mm higher, and 12mm higher than what? Thanks!
