Default Handlebar Recomendation

Hey All,

I currently have ProTaper KLX High fat bars on with the required adapters adding another 3/4" to the height. I really love this setup, however, I have run into a problem.

I am wanting to put a Scotts steering damper on my bike and the Scotts hardware will not fit the ProTaper fat bar adapters. They place the pinch bolts to far outboard. My only recourse is to go back to a 7/8" bar and use the stock bar holders integral to the stock triple clamp.

Do any of you know what the highest bend 7/8" bar I can get is? I would like the bars to be about two inches higher than stock.

Thanks for any help you can give,
Craig

Renthal RC high bend. Not sure how much higher they are when compared to the stock bars but I really like them and I'm sure there are a few others here who would agree.

+1 on the RC high. I think you'll still need some 7/8" risers to get 2" taller than stock, even with the RC bend.

RC, Ricky Carmichael bend is not the same as a CR. Even the tradition CR high bend varies by manufacture.

The PO of my bike fitted it with pro taper 7/8" atv mid bars because he was tall. I love them standing but they are too tall for me (5'10) on long sit down rides.

I prefer 7/8 bars on dualsports because all the clamps for gps, map charts, mirrors etc are set up that way.

For cheap bars (been threw a few, stock ones are a joke, tusk RMATV brand suck too!) and finally got a set of msr CR high bend bars from rmatv and they have held up great, and i like the rise of them too! They seemed to vibrate a bit more than the others w/o the bark busters on.
