Handguards won't fit?

RE: Handguards won't fit?
I installed the tusk gaurds on mine last weekend and had virtually no problems at all, just a little adjustment here and there. I have CR bend handle bars with ASV shorty clutch and brake levers. Everything came out looking outstanding! I'll post a pic or two tomorrow.

bryantjt, I have the same bars and gaurds (you must have good taste) my guards are black though, anyway. I installed them with the bars on the bike so I could move them around a little more. Put the bar end in first (of course after you install grips) then attach the small slotted peice to the guard arm keep loose. Then put on the bar clamps keep loose, mine arm about 1/2 inch from the handle bar clamps. Then attach every thing together and position and tighten. You will have to move every thing on the brake side to fit but not much. I'm here to help. Tusk gear rocks.

Thanks that clears up the will they even fit issue. As far as pics I use www.photobucket.com upload my pics and then I copy the http....address of the picture, click the lil mountain icon on the thread toolbar here and paste the pic address in there. Another one that works is www.tinypic.com but they don't let you have an album, or at least the last time I used it theydidn't. Essentially a one time use thing as it gives you the address of the pic and you can post it anywhere.

How did you mount a ASV brake lever? What about the light switch?

I know that there will be those who say that no light switch on the front is dangerous, but I ride mine very little on the street and out of habit I always use the rear brake first when braking.
I have pictures but just don'thave them handy rightnow. I'll post some tomorrow.

RE: Handguards won't fit?
Here are the pics that I promised.
First I removed the front brake line bracket from the top of the triple trees and modified it and attached it to the inboard side of the handgaurd bar.
That should keep the brake line from rubbing or binding
Next is the modification to use the ASV shorty lever on the original front brake perch
See the roll pin?
Then I had to notch out just a little for the brake line boot to fit
And here is the finished product!
