Tore the end off my ring finger, even though had full guards, when wet chalk shot me into the hedge. Was I just unlucky?

Ekim- my bike has Barkbusters with the triple clamp as the attachment point. Came that way when I bought the bike, used of course since I'm a cheap bastad.
I like them as it seems a much more solid point of attachment and leaves the handle bars uncluttered.

Phil- Ouch that had to hurt, definitely unlucky! Hope that was the worst of your injury and your ok.

I'm OK (minus part of finger). Very frustrating is I don't know what tore it off. Something pinched it big-time. Thank god it never hurt a bit as I'm a real baby at pain. Just can't remember what happened after the rear wheel slipped. Anyone else had a similar 'experience'?

Wow, Phil, Wonder what would have happened without guards? I guess the shocker jokes are gonna be tough. Seriously though, that sucks I'm sorry.
Seems like a lot of guys have troubles with Acerbis fitment on KLX's. What were you using Phil?

They call me Stumpy now. You'll have to explain 'shocker'.
Will advise on handguards I was using. Got even wider ones now.

You'll have to google it. Those are the same ones I was going to order. I think they're Acerbis ripoffs. They fit OK? I guess you don't recommend them right? Let me know how the new ones fit. Looks like the U bracket would make it around the clutch cables better than the straight ones?

Both the old an new guards fit OK. A bit fiddly but OK.
Shame you aren't close by, you could try the green ones.
Might well have ended up the same with the new ones. Just unlucky I guess.
