Handguard question
#21
I went with the Tusk brand of handgaurds. They are a copy of the "original" barkbuster but are less expensive. I got them from RMATV. I have dropped hard on rocks, and bashed into a few trees, they are scratched up but no broke levers or hands....
the pic is from last year, the plastic is a little more beat up now.

Your levers are bent
and it don't look good
Who ya gonna call?
BARKBUSTERS
I ain't afraid of no rocks
I ain't afraid of no roots
Who ya gonne call?

Cycra pro bend with the triple clamp mount, super tough. Expensive but worth it. You will need longer triple clamp bolts. Just get them from the hardware store. I went with the stainless bolts. The cycra also has several different size plastic guards you can choose from.

Well today I bent the **** out of the Acerbis Rally Pros, well the right side at least. Heading home I decided to check out trail I've been eye-balling, and it got the best of me. Cruising through some tall grass, there was a downed tree half buried in the dirt and the rest hidden by grass. Well it pitched me hard, bent the Rally Pro real good, and twisted the entire front end. I rode home with my left hand a few inches closer to the checkered flag than the right. Good news is my Renthals are straight and no broken levers!

I have the acerbis. They usually give enough to save the bars and levers when there is an impact. Tried them out again last week just to see. Still work.
