Gypsum Hills, Kans. Ride

Gypsum Hills, Kans. Ride
Three KLX 250's went to the Gyp Hills area, to do some recon for some rides later on.
It's Bill Blue's Team Green ride!!
Bake's bike
A one room school house, the roof was totally fallen in on the other side
The area is many square miles of this. What's that on the ridge there?
Kinda big for cows....
All the mods have made my bike really really good at this trail riding. I'm super happy with the way it all worked together.
These belong to Ted Turner. One public dirt road crosses the 4000 acres he owns, and he raises free range bison there.
Lots and lots of space out here, virtually no one, we saw a car and a truck, all day. I really can't put
my finger on it, but this semi-arid country with it's cedar thickets is just beautiful. We saw lots of doves, and I saw 3 pheasant.
There's wild pig down in the holler's, which aren't really welcome. They cause erosion. Plenty of deer, and bobcat, I would guess coyote, but they wouldn't mess with the bison.
This was crystal clean spring water. Thanks for the pic, JoAnn.
C'mon, little doggies, get off the road! We even saw a bit of a stampede, some buffalo just like to run I think. There were some calfs in the mix, so we gave these groups LOTS of room.
How about this little home
Nice little cabin, and nobody anywhere nearby.
The Gypsum Hills are a really fun place to ride. It's about 2 hours away, not too bad to load up and zip over and ride all day, come home happy, tired and dusty. That's a good day!

It is a cool place to ride, considering you're riding Kansas........

Gotta give major props to Wolfman. I first saw their enduro tank bag on Ginsu4u's KLX and got one for myself and loved it. It was especially useful after I changed out my rear fender and removed the rack in the process. To make a long story short, I cut the straps on my Enduro Tank Bag to fit on my KLX, thinking I'd never be fitting it to another bike. Well, after I got my KTM the front securing straps were too short now after trimming to fit on the KLX. I e-mailed Wolfman Luggage asking to buy another set of straps. They said no problem and just sent me a set and they showed up today. Didn't charge me a thing even though I offered to pay twice. Can't beat that for customer service. And their stuff is top shelf for sure!
Great pics, Bake - looks like lots of great riding out there. We we had some wide open stuff like that near where I am.

Looks like a nice day for a cruise, the terrain over there is totally different to here in oz. It would be a real buzz to see those bison up close like that, we don't have things like that here ( only kangaroos)
cheers hatto
