guys, after a lot of thought, i went to the dark side. with my death vally trip 3 weeks away and a lot of desert riding/long trips i want to do, i bought the acerbis tank and fmf jet kit. its not that we cant get the companys to make one, and im still hoping they will, but i do 95% of my riding alone. i remeber just days after getting the bike and heading to ocotillo wells to really test it out, finding the old gas station across from the air port abandoned. scary ****, especialy when i found out the nearest gas station was 15 miles away and i have 90 alreadly on my tank, and just weeks later that ufc fighter died. i know we can get them to make a tank, i just dont want to be so hard headed i put my life at risk to prove we need one.

oh ya, this is the thread that sold me on it, hopefully soon ill have the same exhuast too.

OK, punkenduro09 I'm in! I will be the second rat off the ship
I looked at the thread you posted and I don't see a lot wrong with the fit of the Acerbis tank, so...Can you tell me the part # of the Acerbis tank you ordered?. I have acerbis brush guards and if the color match is the same then it is spot on! I will look for the vacuum fuel pump as well.

Thanks

you have to remeber, there will be some good size gaps when you put this on. as far as part number, yahoo keeps freezing my comp so i cant really help ya. its the tank for the klx300 and 90s klx250. some times i take function over form to much, my civic is 4 diffrent colors, has 3 grand in the suspention and brakes, and keeps with sti's down hill (palomar mt. anyone). to bad i grenaded the clutch, itll be fixed her soon, and then im off to autocross.

Thanks, I ordered one today, should be here early next week. The gaps don't look too bad and with a little side plastics trim where the tanks meets the side plate it will be fine. On the plus side the tank will protect the radiators better, the OEM stuff will stay in good shape for resale, I will go 300 km on a tank full. Not sure what the weight difs are between the two, but the plastic must be lighter. I forgot just how much I used to enjoy working on my bikes!! Wish I had never stopped riding!!
